Hi Everyone,

As many of you know, the first RIPE Meeting to be held in the Middle East,
RIPE 57, will be hosted by Etisalat and held in Dubai from 26-30 October.
This prestigious event brings together ISPs, telecommunication companies,
educational institutions and RIPE NCC members from around the world to
discuss the functioning of the Internet.

Instead of holding a separate MENOG meeting in Autumn 2008, the MENOG
coordination team has decided to collaborate with the RIPE Meeting
organisation team to ensure that the Middle East Internet community plays an
active role in RIPE 57.

As MENOG participants make up a large part of the RIPE community, we feel
that your presence at the RIPE Meeting would be especially beneficial not
only for you and your colleagues, but also for colleagues from Europe and
Central Asia, who do not often get a chance to meet with colleagues from the
Middle East.

MENOG at RIPE 57
The coordination team has worked to ensure that the issues that are relevant
in the Middle East as well as to an international audience  are included on
the RIPE 57 meeting agenda. In addition, the coordination team has agreed
that we will actively participate in the development of the RIPE 57 meeting
agenda. Also, MENOG tutorials will be offered on Sunday 26 October from
09:00 - 12:30 and our program committee will be seeking proposals for
presentations (Yes! This is a big hint! We want you all to contribute so
better start sending your proposals).

that the Middle East's Internet community is well represented at RIPE 57 and
