Dear Colleagues,

The upcoming MENOG 5 meeting, to be held 28 – 29 October in Beirut,
Lebanon, offers you an excellent opportunity to network with more than
100 key players in the region’s Internet industry. This meeting,
sponsored by many industry leaders, is provided to you for free and will
bring together network operators, vendors, ISPs and government
representatives to discuss the latest issues and challenges facing
network operations in the Middle East.

Topics to be covered at MENOG 5 will include the latest IXP and peering
developments, regional cooperation in the Middle East and collaborative
responses to DNS security challenges.

In addition, there will be a presentation on RIPE Labs, a new platform
designed by the RIPE NCC for network operators, developers and industry
experts to test innovative Internet-related tools.

MENOG 5 is held together with the RIPE NCC Regional Meeting, Beirut. The
recent RIPE NCC Regional Meeting in Moscow (17 - 18 September 2009)
broke all previous attendance records, attracting more than 200
attendees and the Russian Federation’s Deputy Minister of Telecoms and
Mass Communication.
