Last week Microsoft offered $7.5M to buy about 660,000 IPv4 addresses from Nortel which is selling its IPv4 addresses, from the Class-A block, as an asset in bankruptcy proceedings.

This comes to $11 per IPv4 address, while last year the average price ISP global cost was around $1.5 per v4 address.
