[menog] MEAC School on Internet Governance 2022 - Call for Applications

Friends and Colleagues,

 

This is a call for applications for the Middle East and Adjoining Countries School on Internet Governance 2022 (MEAC-SIG 2022).

 

This year’s edition is for 4 days starting on Monday 31 October and concluding on Thursday 3 November. We start at 8.00 AM UTC and conclude at 11.30 AM UTC. The event is entirely virtual.

Prior to the 4-days of live lectures, we have prep-work that starts in early October. Prep-work is in the form of reading books, taking online courses, and watching some videos.

 

We invite academics, civil society, government and public sector, the technical community and the private sector from the Middle East and Adjoining Countries (22 Arab States, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan) to take this unique opportunity.

 

Applicants must fulfill the following conditions:

 
Must be a citizen of the MEAC region, or resides in the MEAC region;
Must have not attended any past SIGs;
Confirm that you can access the Zoom platform from within your geography;
Must fulfill all elements of the SIG, and this includes enrolling in all online courses assigned, and attend all sessions; and
Must fill out the below application form in its entirety. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Attendance of MEAC-SIG is free of charge.
