Friends and Colleagues,
The sixth Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) DNS Symposium (IDS 2023) will be held on 5 September 2023 in Da Nang, Vietnam. IDS 2023 will be co-located with "A Day of DNS Abuse Discussions" (4 September), also hosted by ICANN, and OARC 41<https://indico.dns-oarc.net/event/47/> (6-7 September), hosted by DNS-OARC.
The theme for IDS 2023 is "The integration of DNS with emerging technologies".
IDS2023 will focus on the integration of DNS with emerging technologies, exploring the challenges and opportunities associated with this integration, including challenges related to security. The symposium invites researchers, developers, and operators to present on subjects including, but not limited to, blockchains, IoT, and novel uses of the DNS, such as IP-to-location translation, blocklists, and so on.
We are soliciting proposals for presentations. Please send a one-paragraph description of your proposed topic to ids-proposals at icann.org<mailto:ids-proposals at icann.org> by 14 August 2023. We will notify accepted speakers and publish a preliminary agenda by 18 August 2023.
The agenda and participation information will be forthcoming.
Thank you,
Fahd Batayneh
ICANN
