[menog] Satellite Transport Services

Dear Mr. Fahad,
to make things more clear, I am from a telco background and I know the
principals of toll bypass as well as LCR. when I come to the MENOG (which
was my first visit and most important visit) I realized that the same
principal can be applied on IP traffic.
so what I am going to do and am looking for is to have 4-6 dishes in Iraq,
that connect us to each continent over the shortest (cheapest) path. I want
to buy as little transit services as possible. that why I want to replace
our current 120mbps main link with multiple VSAT links to achieve redundancy
and LCR.
this is the real reason behind all this conversation and I am very happy
with the responses I receive, as I can see a community helping each other.
this MENOG thing is really a nice idea.
Thank you
Best regards,
Kiyam Kadir

In the country you operate in, do you have a license for satellite landing
station? Are you looking for backbone over satellite or?

If you have legal landing rights and you need significant bandwidth, you
should be transponder capacity from satellite owners rather than service
provider.

Dear Mr. Al-Rasheed,
the satellite I need should be able to handle capacities of up to 200Mbps at
most. do you think this company offers such a service?
Thank you

Dear Colleagues,
I hope you all are doing well. Please help me to find out of Satellite
Operators that have coverage over middle-east and Europe, as well as asia.
I want to setup a semi-full mesh with a few continents to have multiple
POPs.
thank you in advance
Thank you
