Hi Mehmet,

Your suggestion has been noted. Nevertheless, having the event around a
MENOG meeting would really depend on many factors, and would need the
blessing of the PC.

As for having the ME DNS Forum PC as part of MENOG, MENOG is a technical
fora, while the ME DNS Forum tackles various aspects of the DNS industry
(policy, technical, and business).

Hope that helps.

Fahd

Volunteers

Hello there,

Is it possible to have this meeting adjunct with another event (next day or
before the other event) that's taking place in Middle East, such as MENOG?
It helps lots of people who are willing to travel to justify their travel
and makes it totally worth it.

In general, I would love to see this as part of MENOG program, I think there
are lots of opportunity to collaborate here.

Mehmet

Friends and Colleagues,

As part of ICANN's engagement in the Middle East, the Middle East Strategy
Working Group (MESWG) identified having a Middle East DNS Forum on annual
basis as key priority towards developing the domain name industry in the
region.

In February 2014, Dubai hosted the first Middle East DNS Forum. The
proceedings of the forum expanded over two days and covered many interesting
topics related to domain name Registries, Registrars, and Registrants. The
forum was by far a success as it exceeded the expectations of many;
including its organizers.

ME DNS Forum Program Committee

One recommendation that came out of the Dubai meeting was to have a Program
Committee (ME-DNS-PC) to prepare for future annual forums, and this includes
developing a robust agenda for the meeting, and securing the right set of
moderators, facilitators, and speakers/panelists for the different sessions.
